What is Tenkiro?

Tenkiro is a weather data site that records observed facts every day, such as "the hottest town today," "the coldest morning" and "the day with the largest diurnal range," based on nationwide AMeDAS observations published by the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).

The site is run by Sora Kazama (an individual). It is an unofficial, personally run site with no connection to JMA, other public agencies or weather service companies.

What we value

• We deal only with observed records. This site does not issue forecasts. For forecasts, please see the announcements from JMA and weather service companies.
• The observations we publish are preliminary values and may be revised later.
• Ranks and differences are published together with their basis (the observations they come from).

About the data

Temperatures and other values on this site are produced by processing observation data published on the JMA website.

AMeDAS observations may be corrected or deleted after later quality checks. If you need finalized records, please check the official statistics published by JMA.
